Description[I have owned this page for years but I have just made an all new scan to replace a crappy photograph]From “Jungle Killers!”, p. 7 in All-American Men of War (DC) #6 (Aug.-Sept. 1953). Pencils: Irv Novick / Inks: Joe Giella / Script: Robert Kanigher. Irv Novick kindly signed it when I met him in San Diego in 2002. He was then 86, in a wheelchair and badly debilitated by Alzheimer's disease. Even though he could barely speak any more, his eyes lit up when I showed him the page and he signed it with apparent pleasure. He passed on October 15, 2008. And thanks to Mike Burkey who let me send him payment for the page two weeks after I found it in his stash! It was a wonderful SDCC. Social/Sharing |
