Description![]() This Marvel Legacy #1 cover is a hero-packed homage to Giant-Size X-Men #1 (1975). This time, the "OG" heroes are busting through the cover while the newer versions watch from the background. Definitely a "Most Interesting" modern cover that I couldn’t resist! The 'Old Guard' appearing are Captain America (Steve Rogers), Spider-Man (Peter Parker), Hulk (Bruce Banner), Thor Odinson, Iron Man (Tony Stark) and Black Panther (T'Challa). The 'New Guard' are represented by Captain America (Sam Wilson), Spider-Man (Miles Morales), Hulk (Amadeus Cho), Thor (Jane Foster), Ironheart (Riri Williams) and Black Panther (Shuri). A perfect tribute to a classic cover! Although Ed didn't homage enough to put his signature in the right place and they had to move it digitally.

Great, great, homage to GSX #1. Love the OG team with Cap leading the charge. Next gen is fun too of course, but I feel so damn old because with the exception of Sam and Jane, I'm not that familiar with anyone else. I guess the next phase of MCU films will be my education. Anyway, love Ed's work and this is a wonderful example. Congrats!

I love seeing each of their counterparts together on one page like this. Great homage cover but also really cool to see McGuinness' take on the different versions of the characters. Not sure you could ask for anything more in one piece! Huge congrats!

64 big big pages! Oh, that old-school look makes me smile. What a fantastic homage cover by McGuinness. The expressions are wonderfully rendered, too. Gorgeous work. Big congrats!

You raise an interesting point in your description. Is it new if it references old? I would say yes, as all art is influenced by previous art. Congratulations on a fine piece of art.

Love it! Make way for the true originals! Is the trade dress on the board or an overlay?

Thanks James! Title stats on overlay as Marvel added them digitally for production. I've added a scan of the board sans overlay.

Dino is...the most interesting man in OA! Love it. Not hard to tell at all why you dug this one. Many a character homaging a classic image done RIGHT! And those inks...so clean and crisp. Sweet modern get. Congrats!
