DescriptionAlex was seated next to Ernie Chan and Tony DeZuniga, two artists that I was more familiar with and had already gotten sketches from. The 2006 FallCon was nearing its close, and Alex was sitting there. Even though I wasn’t familiar with his work, I was intrigued. His sketch prices were as high as the other two, but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask him for a quick (read: free) sketch. Surprisingly, he accepted.I talked with him for quite a while as he was doing the sketch. I don’t know if he thought that I worked for the con or not, but he gave me some different ideas on how the convention could be even better than it is – more things for kids, like having the artists do actual mini-trainings with people who sign up. He said he’d be all over doing such a thing. I did send an email a while after to the MCBA letting them know of his idea. Social/Sharing |

Alex is a Legend and just a great guy...very fortunate to get a sketch from him..Congrats !!!
