Description

Kurtzman was a genius. The more I look at and learn about comic art of all genres and styles, the more I am able to appreciate Harvey Kurtzman's work and contribution to sequential art. Here is a nice page showcasing a lot of what makes Kurtzman great from one of his most important eras, his days at EC Comics. I am reading the Bill Schelly book on Kurtzman right now and it is great and gives me that much more insight into this piece. Thank you to Sean for letting go of this one.

Overall, it's a nice little "Most Dangerous Game" pastiche and the sequence with the wasps is a classic bit of comic book storytelling.

Horrific... I'm reminded of the mosquitos at Keio's Mita campus in Tokyo. Huge suckers made my hands swell like no other, first and last time I had to go see a doctor in Japan!
