DescriptionI consider the original League of Extraordinary Gentlemen to be the last of Moore's great tales and spent years looking for a good example. That's no small feat when most of the issues are still intact in private collections, but I knew that my search was over the second I laid eyes on this! Many thanks to the seller, who only let it go under duress.This has everything that one could want in a LoEG piece. O'Neill shows great composition work with large figures of the whole team; armed and looking a fair bit more formidable that they do in their adventures. Social/Sharing |

Very cool as O'Neill wanted this to be an illustration that is good enough to be used in the original literary tomes for any of these characters' sources.

Terrific page. Glad the long search was worth it. Just saw the movie this month. It was all right, better than the reviews. Have to check out the comic next.

An extraordinary cover for the Absolute Edition of League of Extraordinary Gentlemen! Kevin O'Neill's art is superb here, with fabulous takes on each of the main characters. I especially love his Captain Nemo, Mina Harker and Mr Hyde, but they're all great. The composition on this cover is fabulous and really brings the concept of the series to life! Great inks as well, with a terrific use of spot blacks. Outstanding pick-up, congrats!

This is such an awesome piece! The absolute editions are how I first read LoEG; major congrats on getting such an epic example from one of the coolest series ever.
