DescriptionOne of my early indie favorites! The series had a lot of fun with comic tropes and each cover would be a take on a different comic book icon. In this case, the Spirit. Social/Sharing |

As someone who picked up a few issues of Normalman back in the day, it was a surprise to me when Valentino went from this to mainstream books like GotG and Shadowhawk. But when I reread the series years later it all made sense. Valentino spoofs Marvel, DC, etc but usually with a wink and a smile at their absurdities. It was clear he had a great deal of fondness for the source material.

Beautiful inks and composition here from Valentino. This is a great find and a sharp looking cover!

Valentino definitley has the Spirit with this layout and the sharp dressed man standing over the city he protects.
