I loved Calvin and Hobbes. This is a piece I purchased at an auction a couple of years ago. It came with a certificate of authenticity as an animation cel. I have not been able to verify this. I'm posting it hoping that someone might know something about this. Help!!

i've never heard of watterson allowing any animation happen... tho the drawing is very faithful. she is, however, only about 4 inches tall! it almost looks like someone's drawn the figure and grabbed the bground from elsewhere...

So, I'm going to be optimistic that this is one of those, and not the "animation cel" it was advertised as. I'm not sure if the background was ever used in anything, but I can always hope.
