Jason, I took your advice. http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1420091 Just posted it in my gallery. Chris killed it. Thanks for idea, man, appreciate it.
Jock, just reading a wonderful book called Looking for Calvin and Hobbes by Nevin Martell, and he briefly mentions that sometimes when Watterson was doing his Sunday strips he would use acetate overlays. So, I'm going to be optimistic that this is one of those, and not the "animation cel" it was advertised as. I'm not sure if the background was ever used in anything, but I can always hope.
I hadn't seen this one and I have to say this is one of my favorites in the gallery. Maleev's art sets the perfect tone for Bullseye. Just incredible.
Very cool man, love the knife in his right hand. I asked Dario to use black markers on Graves because of his black suit, otherwise he would have just done it in pencil.
I don't have contact info, I always saw him at the New York conventions. Sorry!!
Thanks, man. It's the first original page I ever bought, and still one of my favorites.
