Description

This page was published in February 1976, penciled by Irv Novick and inked by Frank McLaughlin. Signed by Novick in the lower right corner of the scene.

The Mirror Master convinces Paul Gambi (the Rogues Gallery costume tailor) to make The Flash a new costume, but as soon as he starts wearing it, the Scarlet Speedster begins to act out of character. Aside from this story, Gambi also appeared in Flash issues 141, 222 and 350. By coincidence, I own a page from Flash 222 that features several images of Gambi but it is in my Green Lantern gallery since Sinestro is depicted.

Beautiful splash from my favorite Flash artist. I always thought that the Flash had the greatest Rogue's Gallery of all Super Herodom. Well, at least they were the most colorful. Thanks for sharing.

Totally awesome Title page!

Flash #141 was one of the handful of comics left in the basement closet by my older brother that introduced me to comics and eventually led to me collecting. When I found out I could purchase new comics locally I thought it was so cool my recognizing the Paul Gambi character and thought he would be recurring. Little did I know the scarcity of his appearances and until your listing I didn't realize that I managed to stumble upon his first and third appearances so many years apart. Perhaps Gibbs was wrong and there are coincidences.
