I am very excited to own an early Jim Cheung cover from the 12-issue Maverick series. The cover features a captured Maverick surrounded by Omega Red, and the Jorge Gonzalez & Jim Cheung created characters Hammer and Sickle. This is the first cover featuring Jorge and Jim's Hammer and Sickle.

Born Christopher Nord and later known as David North, Maverick first appeared in X-Men #5 (Volume 2) in 1992 and was created by Jim Lee. Maverick is better known as Agent Zero in the Weapon X story lines and the 2009 Wolverine movie.
