DescriptionThis cover was painted in 1963 by one of the best Phantom artist in the world of every time, NEVER surpassed :G.(enius) Ferri.For an unknown reason this masterpiece was n't published on the relevant Ph-magazine containing a story from the same artist. Many years after this cover was casually found and now is shown here with all his splendor !!!! In the additional images are showed the cover of Mario Caria published on SUPER ALBO L'Uomo Mascherato N°49 (September 8, 1963) plus the terrific splash page of the episode. At the time the artis was following a little bit the Wilson Mc Coy style because Sy Barry started with this character only few mounths before !! ! Social/Sharing |

Wow, what a beautiful piece! I like Mario Caria's art but honestly, this one would have been a better cover... it's a pity that it was never used. Priceless... thank you so much Roy for giving us the chance to see this gem!

Many people who nothing understand about this kind of ART acclaims artists of ZERO value only because they APPEARS (only).... but it is ONLY SMOKE, not real art.... I could do to you a lot of examples of artists of no value very appreciated .....

Accidenti, se penso che questa cover e' stata realizzata nel 1963..... la trovo "attualissima", chissa' che la non pubblicazione, all'epoca, sia dipeso da questo! Ferri era TROPPO AVANTI!

..... peccato per il profilo alla Wilson Mc Coy... ma, come già scritto, l'arte ed il rinnovamento di Sy Barry erano arrivati soltanto da pochi mesi .....
