I was REALLY lucky to get this from Heritage, who sold it as 'sketch page of man and lions'! What an understatement! When I got this, I didn't have the finished piece, which I got a year later, and is also posted here...hooha!!

now this is really cool. a glimpse into the process of a master. how cool to see other rejected composistions to such well known pieces. there will never be a better fantasy illustrator.
