DescriptionStory time, everybody. I commissioned this card from Stefanie last year at the Special Edition NY show, and she finished it... only for some reason, every time she tried mailing it to me it kept getting sent back to her. Neither of us has any idea why, I mean, I know I gave the correct mailing address and I made sure to resend the info to Stefanie whenever she was going to mail it again. Eventually I decided to wait for the next convention we'd both be attending, which was the Baltimore 2016 Comic Con, and pick it up from her. I'm simply happy I didn't turn into "that guy" and start bothering her about it, but I feel really guilty over the hassle she went through.Anyway, this is Deborah Morgna, Sungirl, from Deathstroke's failed Titans East. She's supposedly a descendant of Dirk Morgna from the Legion of Super-Heroes, and has a grudge with Miss Martian over something horrible the perky heroine caused in Sungirl's era. She was described as a manipulator on par with the first Terra, but we never saw it in action during Geoff Johns' Titans East arc. Sean McKeever planned for her to approach the Teen Titans after the death of Inertia, as she was going to be pregnant with his child. That never happened, and instead she returned as a member of Superboy Prime's failed Legion of Doom. I'm noticing a pattern here... When the solicits for Teen Titans #43 were first released, Sungirl had blonde hair and her costume revealed her cleavage. I don't know what happened but apparently this wasn't the intent of her creators, and when the issue was formally released her hair was changed to red and her costume's coloring altered so she now had a red chest symbol instead of a cleavage window. Yeah, that window wouldn't really work. I mean . . . no. Haha. But the art is nice!
