Description

A unique piece by Alex Ross, possibly the only cover he's ever done blending his paints with his pencils. This cover was used for the compilation of his sketches, called Rough Justice, released in March 2010.

Huge piece measuring 16x21".

I believe this piece was finished this way on purpose. After full pencils, Alex usually starts painting the art using black so that what is left is a black and white piece. He then adds color as needed using brush and air-brush. A wonderful piece. Congrats.

I just stumbled across this. Very nice!!! I think it is one of Ross' best Superman images and a tremendous example of the artist's process.
