Holy smokes!!!! What a great piece. I got to admire this in person at San Diego Comicon a couple of years ago. Would have bought it if I could afford it..!!

"Art school, medical school? Art school, medical school?" I'm starting to think I made the wrong choice! :-) Congrats on having this on your wall!

So you're the monster who bought this masterpiece!? You are truly cruel.

When this piece was for sale in Chicago at the Heritage Auction several years back I asked if I could just hold it in my hands and I had someone snap a photo of me with it just to remember the moment. A true classic-I loved it when I saw it 35 years ago as a 12 year old kid on the bookstore rack and still stand in awe-WOW!! Benno

I had a poster of this in jr. high school (not to mention the the paperback, the art books, etc.) and had fantasies about actually owning a Frazetta painting. Congratulations on living a dream!

This has always been one of my favorite Frazetta paintings! I've always loved the colors in this and then to just sit and Imagine sailing in that little boat and coming up on something like that! Not to mention, Carson of Venus was another fun read by ERB. Conrats on owning such a Fantastic painting and then sharing it with us.

What a beauty! This piece is a perfect combination of Frazetta's 70's era action-themed paintings and the more romantic "World of Wonder" adventure look of his earliest Ace covers. He really nailed the pose of the hero. Love the motion, color, composition, water effects, and everything else about it!

Like everyone else I've seen this many times before--but it still stops me in my tracks. Maybe Frazetta's best treatment of color ever?

THIS is my favorite Frazetta painting! So unreal! Is this an actual scan of the painting as-is?

I remember seeing this beauty in person. I was offered either this, the Secret People (watercolor) and the painting I ended up with, the Dracula (Creepy 5) at this private seller's home. This painting was stunning! Really popped with the black background and bright colors. Being that I wanted a Warren Publishing original, my choice was made before I saw the other two offered. But if money was no object, I would've walked away with two paintings.....
