Description

I am really glad to obtain the color guide to accompany the original art to this fantastic page by John Byrne and Terry Austin. Glynis Wein did a terrific job on it. Many thanks to Luca for a smooth deal.

Pretty cool!  I remember briefly seeing Wein's collection of these Byrne issue color guides when they were all complete issues in the early 90's.  They weren't bargains at that time either.  This is a particularly cool page with the colorful villains of the silver age X-Men having such deep colors.

Many thanks, Marcus. I was glad to get this in order to have a set of both the original artwork as well as the color guide. And I obtained the former because it was, as you have pointed out, a standout page containing all the villains from the early issues from the series.

beautiful color work! congrats on adding this very nice Wein color guide to an incredible Byrne X-Men page and making it so the original art and the color guide are now roommates! and what a page it is.

Many thanks, Kavi. It was really cool to be able to put these two pages together. And this particular page in that issue is of special significance to me as I remember all the books in which these villains appeared.

Many thanks, Nick. Yes, it's not often that one can have both color guide and original artwork together and so I am very thankful indeed.

Many thanks, Toni. It is an extremely rare occurrence in my own experience. And, yes, the colors are very bright and powerful indeed.

Great addition, especially since you have the original art page as well.

I've often said that original color guides are a nice, fun and still one-of-a-kind collectible. It's the cover color guides I think provide the best value for the money, but color guides of interior story pages from classic runs like Byrne X-Men are also worthwhile exceptions. Congratulations on adding the guide to the very page you own, CAB, very exciting to see!

Many thanks, Rubén. Yes, I am very excited to add the color guide to a page that itself embodied many of the issues I had read when the series in fact began its run.

Many thanks. One doesn't truly appreciate them until they pair (as is the case here) with a page which one owns and truly likes.
