I remember trying my best to "hunt" down FF Annual #3. I had only just begun reading Marvel comics and saw the ad for this particular issue. On the cover was the exciting announcement "The Wedding of Sue and Reed!". More significantly was the cover art itself - with every conceivable Marvel superhero and villain on it. It was mind-blowing! I finally tracked it down - it was side-by-side with ASM Annual #2 (which featured Spidey and Dr Strange!). It cost all of my pocket money then - and more. But it was worth it.

Fast forward more than five decades and a half later, and I now have a modern take on the same page as the wedding of Sue and Reed is retold in this anniversary issue. And it is by none other than DWJ himself! As everyone knows, obtaining something during a Felix art drop is very difficult (an understatement of the comic book century). I am not a tekkie. I do not have a sophisticated array of screens. So it is deciding what I want most of all and then try to order it as quickly as I can. Even then, these aged fingers are not as quick as they used to be, so I was very pleasantly surprised to obtain this piece. Daniel's style is so distinctive and, not suprisingly, he is one of the leading comics artists of the modern era and, from what I can see, a really great guy too. Many thanks to Daniel and Felix for enabling me to be the steward of this artwork.
