It really does sum up a lot of what made JRJR on DD so great!  It's taken to an even more heightened level on the radar of great Daredevil art.

I am always impressed when a comic artist is able to pull off weather in a visual story. Not easy to do, but here he nailed it. Great page!

John Romita Jr was a true wunderkind in this business. Reading many interviews and articles over the decades, it seems many of the creators working at Marvel in the late 70's and well into the 80's constantly whispered behind Jr.'s back and complained about nepotism. The honest truth however, at least insofar as I can tell by what I've seen with eyes wide open, is that those creators were simply exhibiting their own petty jealousies, more than likely because they knew deep down that Jr. was already at least as good if not better than they were and still hadn't even hit his peak yet at that point. With his Daredevil run in the late 80's, he blew the doors off of the Marvel bullpen with his incredible work, beautifully complimented by Al Williamson's finishes. The work in this series is just one of many examples that demonstrates why JR Jr. is a legendary artist in his own right, regardless of what his father did or didn't do.

Many thanks, Rubén.  I totally agree that JR Jr is a great artist in his own right.  His style is also very different from his Dad's.  And his artwork on this series is wonderful - with Al Williamson's marvellous inks to boot.

What a team up of JRjr's storytelling and Williamson's masterful ink slinging. It's phenomenal. The spotted blacks make a cool abstract pattern on the page as a whole. Fantastic snow. She's so hot she leaves the top down in a blizzard. Congrats!
