DescriptionHaving gotten a page from this very issue not so very long ago, I did not think that I would get another one so soon. However, apart from being an impressive splash, this page had a certain ethereal quality about it as Matt soars gracefully through the night sky with the moon and stars in splendid background. That simultaneous protrayal of the freedom of youth is to be contrasted with the very onerous obligations that he would later assume when he later becomes, fully, Daredevil, the Man Without Fear. This piece consists of excellent artwork by John Romita Jr and superb inks (as always) by the late great Al Williamson. Very cool splash from the seminal Miller/JRJR/Williamson mini series. You'd think that Miller drew this himself with how well Romita Jr. and Williamson handle this style. This splash disorients the senses and makes us use our minds to determine where Matt is in relation to where we are viewing him. Kind of what Matt feels the first time he takes that leap of faith.

Poetry in motion! The Romita Jr/Williamson team is an ideal match.

I love every movement
And there's nothing I would change
It doesn't need improvement
It's much too nice to rearrange
Poetry in motion
Dancing close to me
A flower of devotion
A swaying gracefully

Yes, I even linked the first line to the video where you just have to press play and it will play that exact part of the song!

Many thanks, Chuck! More than one person has pointed to an at least subtle Miller influence in the art itself.
