DescriptionThis piece of artwork epitomizes the saying, "Simple is beautiful." It is a fully finished commission by JRJR in the form of a pin-up which is itself, in my view at least, of cover quality. DD in his original yellow costume. Completed a quarter of a century ago and apparently autographed last year. Nothing much more can be said about it. Many thanks to Mike Burkey and his DD (pun intended!) show.Social/Sharing |

It's a pure John Romita Jr piece! Nowadays it would be pencilled only and you'd have to go through one of his inkers to get their take on his vision.

Awesome piece CAB! Really love the contrast of this piece and how simple yet effective the background is. Really frames the main figure and even DD having most of the blacks in center really helps to keep the focus on him. Another amazing piece to your collection! Major Congrats!

Before I clicked on the thumbnail, I actually thought this was a splash page from decades old Daredevil project! Very nice acquisition. What else is there to say, really?

Too Cool CAB...ironicaly I just finished a Yellow Suit DD Painting...because i just wanted to...kind of a similar layout with a serene watercolor sky, with some well worn buildings surrounding him
