Description

Jim Mooney is best known for his long stint as Supergirl's first artist (not counting her origin story). He had one of the longest careers in comic books. He was also the only golden age artist with whom I had substantial contact. I was not aware that he had a side career in girlie humor panels. This one was published twice, in the October 1956 Breezy and the November 1961 Jest.

That girl really doesn't look like she belongs in the same cartoon universe as the guys, does she? As is often the casewith these, I'm not thrilled with the awkwardly-phrased caption. Mine is, "His customers often forget to read the fine print." Note the graphic signature, literally "moon" E. The back has Mooney's then address in Hollywood.
