Anyway, I always thought that Mark Bright did a pretty great job of following in the footsteps of Romita Jr., Layton, and Guice on the IRON MAN title. Stylistically, he was distinctive enough to leave his own mark on the character, but similar enough to please all the Romita, Layton, and Guice fans. This splash (page 30) from issue #274 is a great example! Since I gave the other Iron Man splash (by Sean Chen) in this gallery to my sister (it’s her favorite character), I needed an IM splash of my own. Thank goodness this missed opportunity from the past resurfaced just in time! =) Social/Sharing |

When I think of Mark Bright's resume, I recall his Wolverine vs. Spiderman one-shot cover and, of course, his Iron Man run. This is a great splash. Nice one. 8 )

Great splash...I watched this one on ebay too, and couldn't believe what she went for. I know exactly what you mean about chasing a piece several times and not taking any chances (Mine was the IM Jusko painting...it came and went on ebay at least 3 times)

Yeah, this has happened to me more than once. You'd think I would learn my lesson, but I just keep letting nice pieces like this pass me by only to pay more for them later! That's what I call collecting the hard way! LOL
