DescriptionPresent-day Spidey met his 2099 version in this entertaining one-shot published in 1992. This is the opening double-splash from that book. The original measures 17x22 and is absolutely stunning! My thanks to JW for this one!Social/Sharing |

Wow, this is friggin' great (I almost said Amazing). I'm very jealous, I really want to add a Leonardi Spidey to my collection.

Ha! You're just like me Jerry. Whenever I see a nice Spidey piece on CAF, I'm always tempted to use the words SPECTACULAR or AMAZING, then think better of it. Anyway, glad you like this one!

The one thing I love about Rick Leonardi is how his art is as fresh to me now as when it came out and forgive me for using future profanity but... Shock... This is a great splash page!

Amazing! Now this is a fun splash! Nice to see them revisit the classic opening scene!

If I'm not wrong this is a almost perfect homage to Spider-Man 2099 #1 where same Leonardi/Williamson team made same piece, but with Spidey 2099 instead of our friendly neighborhood. Deliciously tangled!

Deliciously tangled!Yes, you are absolutely correct. I did have a chance to buy that 2099 double splash as well, but I really did not like his 2099 costume. In hindsight, I probably just should have bought it to have the set. Especially since the same seller had both pieces. Maybe someday I will have a chance to correct that mistake.
