Description

I got this piece from an in-store art auction that was being held by a small local comic shop. Not sure why the owner didn't go the ebay route, but it certainly worked to my advantage. Not only was mine the winning bid, it was the ONLY bid. Needless to say, I was quite pleased. The piece measures a full 11x17, and is signed & dated by Mike from 1983, which means that it actually pre-dates Rocket Raccoon #1. Not sure if this was some sort of character study, or just something Mike had done for fun and then developed into the miniseries by Marvel. A really fun piece though!

Love the Rocket Raccoon series by Mignola and this is sweet piece brings back great memories!

I think I'd pay real money to have someone slip this piece under Mike's nose today, just to see his reaction! Very cool early R.R. page, Eric, and congrats to you for making such a great snag at a local sale.
