Description

Paul Levitz and Keith Giffen made Dream Girl's term as leader of the Legion so much fun...she was smart, sassy, and sexy, all in one complicated package. I added 2 images of pages from my Giffen gallery that shows the contrasting way she could be and was portrayed. . She was focused enough to lead them to victory against Darkseid and yet could be distracted by the prospect of a hangnail. She was in short : FUN FUN FUN . I wanted a cover to highlight this and this classic 19070's sexist Detective Comics cover featuring Batgirl stopping in mid-battle to adress a couture emergency, was just made for Dream Girl. Legion Artist Greg LaRocque as always, captures this complex essence beautifully, in a battle scene with members of the Fatal Five that somehow elicts an admiring glance and smiles from Polar Boy and cries of sheer exasperation from Ultra Boy. As in other cases, Chris Ivy added some amazing inks and futuristic backgrounds to make this pop. Love her, hate her but NEVER... EVER, underestimate or ignore her..Nura Nal of Naltor is the stuff that Dreams ( or in the case of Deputy Legion Leaders ,Ultra Boy & Element Lad frustrating nightmares ) are made of. Enjoy
