I just learned we lost artist Don Perlin this week. I have many examples of his work on Transformers, but I thought I should post this piece in his honor.

This is a rare example of his pencil art without being covered up by inks. You get to see the Protectobots, Wheeljack and King Grimlock in all their graphite glory!

While "TF33" is written in the artwork's upper corner, this scene ended up used in Transformers #35. TF #33 and #34 actually ended up being reprints of a UK Transformers story, so my guess is the Headmasters miniseries caused the main title to fall behind.

So great! Grimlock is king! A part of TF history unearthed to see! It shows Perlin's care in putting in full detailed work with shading!
