Frank Springer had no choice but to draw them based on the toys. Most of the animation character models were not finalized at the time! I believe Bob Budiansky said that Hasbro sent them a bunch of toys, and that's what Frank used as referances for TF #1 and 2. In TF #3, you notice the drastic shift over to the cartoon-style appearances.

This artwork is actually slightly larger than 11x17, so my guess is it was scanned and reduced to the standard US art size, and that is where the overlays were done.
First off, welcome to CAF! More importantly, awesome page! Geoff Senior artwork from the original Marvel US run are incredibly rare!

Judging by the edges and glare, I think this is a full page stat. Only the lettering would be original. Still, a great find nonetheless! :-)

Nikki doesn't appear all that often. She appeared once in the second volume of Guardians of the Galaxy as well as made a fairly prominent role teaming up with Captain America in the recent reinterpretation of the Korvac Saga.
