DescriptionSteve Fastner and Rich Larson are well known for a series of portfolio paintings in the 1980's. They did 3 sets of four paintings, one with Spider-Man, one with the X-Men and one with the Hulk. This is one from the Spider-man series. I had these prints when I was a lad; remember them clearly. I had several opportunities to acquire this piece; I thought it was lost forever but then it appeared again as art sometimes will! Always great full when you get a second chance!They are oversized pieces, 18" x 23" , not typical cover size. Social/Sharing |

Yeah I was surprised to see this show up on Comiclink so quickly. And super glad to see it has ended up in a permanent home (although it also means I shall never own it!) This is a truly sublime piece of work. Love every square inch of it!

Congrats! The art perfectly captures both Doc Ock and Spidey, and it's simply a truly great action piece. With 18" x 23" it'll be a fantastic man cave centerpiece!

I discovered this portfolio as a kid at a small little comic book shop when I was on vacation--and my mind was blown, I had never seen comic book art that was as lush and three-dimensional as these pieces. Tough call but I think this is my fave of the bunch, love everything from the colors to the girl to Doc Ock's face. Great stuff, congrats!

This is just all kinds of fun! Maybe my favorite of all the Fastner and Larson plates..Huge congrats for taking him down!

One of my absolute favorite comic paintings of all time. So glad it went to someone who's able to enjoy it for the long haul :)

Man O Man!! AMAZING!! Very dynamic and powerful piece! I especially like how Spidey is crushing one of Doc Ock's tentacles! I can't recall when I've seen that in any image and it's super cool! Congrats Joseph!
