Description

Whether by design or otherwise, this particular story teases out - in a very accessible manner - many more complex issues which a younger (or even older) reader might not otherwise think about. For example, the concept of time travel and whether or not the past can be changed as a result. Add to that the very poignant mission in which Superboy fails to save Abraham Lincoln as a result of the unintended action by Luthor (who turns out not to be wholly evil after all, despite his hatred of Superboy) and you have a very intriguing story indeed - all compressed within a mere seven pages. One might point to somewhat contrived points in the plot line (such as the coincidence that Luthor would flee to the same time and place as Superboy as well) but this is, after all, a comic book story. This is the last page of the story and aptly sums up the emotions of all concerned.
