Description

Pulling off a two-artist commission in a convention environment is tricky at best, especially if one has only two days to work with. With speed demons Ron Lim and Ernie Chan wielding the pencil and ink brush, respectively, the plan comes together masterfully.

The Common Element here is "girlfriends named Betty," as fans of the Hulk and the Rocketeer probably figured out already. I suppose I could have thrown Archie Andrews and Barney Rubble into the mix as well... but why make things more complicated? Besides which, what kind of fight would those two put up against the high-flying Cliff Secord and the rampaging Gamma Goliath?

Penciled and inked at WonderCon 2011.

Plus... "Betty" were played by the same actress in both of their movies... Jennifer Connelly!
