Description

“Ethereal Princess” pencil illustration by Alphonse Maria Mucha (1860-1939) (Circa Early 1900’s) This incredibly beautiful and even more incredibly rare illustration features a lovely maiden peering thru a framework of ornate foliage, flowers and vines as her locks of hair blow about in the breeze. Rendered in graphite on paper and initialed in the lower right, this charming illustration truly exemplifies the important influence that Alphonse Maria Mucha had on contemporary masters like Michael Kaluta and Jeff Jones. Although the art was folded vertically in the middle of the drawing, it does not affect the image of the “Ethereal Princess” and is in otherwise in Excellent condition considering its age and rarity. (20-1/2” x 24”)
