Description

Smilin' Jack by Zack Mosley ran from 1933 to 1973, approximately the hey day of test pilots, which was Jack's primary job. It was a combination of humor and adventure strip. Some of the humor was silly like having a bird catch the buttons that flew off a fat supporting character's shirt. The adventure was usually light-hearted. Smilin' Jack was sort of named after the creator, whose nickname was "Smilin' Zack."

This strip shows Jack with his second wife (see my other Smilin' Jack on this gallery and their daughter is about the right height for a nine-year-old and is definitely older than that.
