Wow! Nick, so many of your pieces would be the far and away highlights of someone else's collection. I feel that when I waltz through your galleries, I am walking down Grail row! Whenever I stop and am shocked that you own one stunning historical piece, I click my mouse and them am blown away by another. A truly impressive cover and a magnificent collection!

A very nice piece of art. The Red Skull fallen is a very powerful image. One of Gene Colan's best covers. Congrats!!

Wow Nick! I can remember vividly where I bought this comic. Off my corner store's wall rack. I can't believe that was 42 years ago! When I was only 8 years old! Holy Moley! Congrads! I am so happy I grew up at the end of the silver age & through out the bronze! Congrads! Thanks for sharing all your treasures here with all of us!

I don't think any of us will ever forget this cover. There were many great covers during the Cap run some from Steranko but I think you might be right that this is probably the best one. Colan positioned them all extremely well. His pencils with Sinnott's ink worked out very nicely.

I am blown away by this cover, Nick. 1969 Cap! By Gene Colan! Featuring Cap's greatest enemy! Love the expression on Cap's face. He looks totally spent, even a little sad. Proving that every battle takes its toll, even when the outcome is victory. I agree with you --- this may well be the best cover in the entire run.

Spectacular cover! Strong Cap and Falcon images over a defeated Red Skull! Colan's art is pretty good too 😉!
