I had been wanting one of Rob Schrab's Scud: The Disposable Assassin pages for years. Scud was the comic that really started me into comic collecting. I had remembered playing the awesome Scud video game on the Sega Saturn but had never known that it was based on a comic. I was doing a search for Scud one day back in 2007 and came across the comics. I naturally started buying them and loved them.

After getting all of the comics I began looking for a page from the series. Scud pages hardly ever come up for sale on ebay which is where I do most of my purchasing. I had seen a few pages but they didn't really do it for me. What I really wanted was a page featuring Scud and Sussudio. The ideal page would be one showing the relationship that was building between the two characters. Well I hadn't found such a page and was starting to give up hope. On a whim I decided to tweet Rob on Twitter asking if he ever sold any of his art. He told me to send him a message on facebook about it so I did. We started chatting a little. Soon I was sending him a list of a few pieces I was interested in. One of the pieces turned out to be a keeper page but he said he would have Kate check on the other two to see if either of them was available. Well I didn't hear anything back from Kate so after waiting about two months and seeing that she had listed a page for sale on ebay I decided to email her again. She quickly got back to me and within a few days she had found my third choice of page which I am very pleased with. Of the two pages I am actually glad this one was the one still available.

I absolutely love this page. It has the great dynamic of Scud and Sussudio's relationship as well as the great Rob Schrab humor. I don't think I could have ended up with a better page. The first panels showcasing their relationship are fantastic. I love them walking on the beach with Sussudio being held under Scud's jacket. That is just such a 90s thing to do and I love it. The Closeup of Sussudio and Scud's faces couldn't be better and the dialog about Jeff and the Rapture seals the deal. Of course you have the great humor of the bottom panels as well where the Fraternity nerds are coming to find them and the say they have been looking for "you two" while he is looking at her breasts. Just classic Rob Schrab humor. I am thrilled to finally have a great Scud page in the collection and I don't think I could have purchased a better one then this one.
