DescriptionGot my Mad piece! Picked this up from Joe and Kwan at the recent SDCC. Hopefully not my last but we’ll see – not the easiest pages to pick up these days.Really like this piece for a few reasons. Energetic storytelling, a nice eyes close up, sweet headshot of Wolverine, and a big hulking figure charging the protagonist. Lots of Joe Mad tenets on display. Plus, if you’ve read the issue, you’ll know this is a fun, humorous moment from the story. If you haven’t read it, get to it! Social/Sharing |

This was my favorite page from the whole issue, precisely because of that fourth panel (and the rest of that whole sequence). Congrats on your first Joe Mad pickup!

This page certainly tells a story- a tale of Wolverine's determination to take on anyone, including those much bigger than him. I particularly love that shot of Wolverine giving his foe the eyes-on-me gesture. Only B.A. dudes who can back up their challenges do that. But I also love the expression Wolverine's larger enemy makes after he gets hit by the rock. Joe Mad's style is all about showing action and kineticism. And this page is a great example demonstrating why Joe's style was so popular for so many. Thank you for sharing.
