DescriptionI'd seen this piece as the straight pencils on Scott's Catskills site. One look and it was like like Ron was ~begging~ me to get this inked by Sal. Weak willed geek that I am I listened. Full props to Scott at Catskill and Sal's agent Al to whom I'm forever indebted. Sal's my favorite Hulk artist and Ron really does seem to be channeling Sal's era with his pencils (you can see those below). Just a SMASH! worthy piece. Congratulations on a fantastic Hulk pin-up! Ron Frenz and Sal Buscema are such a great art team - I looked forward to their "Spider-girl" every month.

I totally agree Ron Frenz is a master at capturing certain artists styles! His Ditko/Spidey, Buscema/Kirby like Thor. This Hulk looks very much like Sal's beautiful Subby#34/#35 1st Defenders & John Buscema's Hulk in FF #112! Love this!Congrads!

The pose it taken from one of the promotional images from the Avengers film last year. Was this deliberate or uninintentional?
