08Hulk & She-Hulk (Commissions & Pages)
I remember buying Savage She-Hulk #8 off a spinning comic rack back in 1980. We'd stopped at this mom and pop grocery on the way to my grandparents and I was in line already with my mom when I turned my head and saw the Michael Golden cover with Man-Thing and just having to have it. Loved her in FF and JB's run on the series and dug Dan Slott's time on the book as well.
Mantlo and Buscema's run on the Hulk is the stuff of my childhood. It took me far to long to realize that Sal is my Hulk artist. He defined how the Hulk acts, moves, fights. He's the man. Plus, the Soviet Super Soldiers (from 258) is one of those touchstones of my youth.
