I have great fondness for Pat Broderick's work, especially the stuff he did for DC. he brought a wonderfully distinct look to The Fury of Firestorm in the early 1980s and then brought an exciting new look to Captain Atom in his first DC series in the wake of Crisis on Infinite Earths. I also enjoyed his work on Green Lantern in the years that followed. Broderick has a talent for imbuing fantastic characters with literal energy as well as an emotional intensity.

I picked up this page for a great price on eBay. The focus is mainly on some minor supporting characters, yes, but there's a nice big image of the title hero at the top of the page. And as always, I love vintage boards, complete with lettering, as compared to modern original comic art. With the editor's notes and production marks/adhesive, there's just something more complete and satisfying about such boards.

Great page, and nice write up! I agree, I favor vintage pages too, with their character.
