Description

If you haven't read Rust by Royden Lepp, yet, please do so. A great comic from a great creator. The story reminds me of a Steinbeck novel merged with Heinlein. The story is a mystery that is slowly, exquisitely unfolding with some adventure and family interaction that reminds me what it was like to grow up in not-so-wealthy surroundings making daily compromises. A great read. I like this Dr. Strange piece very much. Most commissions I get of the good doctor have him posed, and that is great. I like Dr. Strange as a subject because I think an artist can do so much with him. He is super-heroic, yet can be portrayed as just a normalish guy. He can be casting spells, but can look cool poring over a book. Very few draw him casting, though. I understand. Ditko kind of ruined that for everyone, because he made Strange's spellcasting look so fluid and cool. So I always love it when an artist makes him shooting bolts, or conjuring, or something like that.
