More great work from the great Ian Richardson.

I'd asked Ian before to tackle one of the failed Castrillo pieces and he did such a great job with that one (the "Atlas League") that I asked him to work up another one. This one has the classic 80's version of the Mighty Crusaders taking on the old Captain Marvel / Shazam villain Mister Atom. Think Avengers vs. Ultron if those last lines don't mean anything to you :) More cool work from Ian with tons of detail. He really went all out here and it so shows. One little thing that probably doesn't show on this low-res pic is the great look Ian got for Atom's fingers. Beautiful piece.

Now more even more greaterer with the inks of Mighty Dave Meikis! As much as I enjoyed seeing Dave ink Mitch's Avengers piece I think his inks fit much better over Ian's pencils. Fly-Girl's face as well as the original Shield just kill under his inks! And Ian's Mister Atom is right up there with the great villains now that Dave's inked him :) The kind of moment when I wish Ian had more time in this schedule for commission work :| Love to see more from these two together :)

The pencils alone were stellar and now its been taken to the next level. One of the finest Mighty Crusaders commissions I've ever seen.

Wow! This piece was already killer, the inks make it better! Throw some colors on this for the trifecta! :)

Ian is an immensely underrated talent and a really nice guy to work with. His Mister Atom here looks incredible.
