Description

This is the cover for the Dutch Donald Duck album 111. It is illustrating the Barks House of Haunts story from Uncle Scrooge 63. It may be sacrilege to say so, but in my opinion this Jippes cover is more interesting and generally better than the original cover by Barks. Then again, Jippes is the modern master of visually interpreting Barks. May I also point out that the motive where the shining Scrooge is running towards the haunted castle is taken from the original story page 9 - a page of which I am the proud owner.
