DescriptionAVENGERS #28 cover recreation commission I finished last night. Original cover art was by Jack Kirby and Frank Giacoia. Inked over printed bluelines on 11 x 17 Bristol board.I did 'hold'/print the lettering in black and touch it up. Stayed pretty faithful, but not obsessively since I had no great large B&W image to work from. Social/Sharing |

This is one of my favorite Kirby-Avengers covers, One of the best depictions of Henry Pym and my second favorite uniform. When I saw this cover I could not wait to buy this book!
I wish Marvel had stayed with this design longer rather than changing back to red and blue and adding the antennae.
Great reinterpretation!
