Description

The last piece to my Spectre puzzle... at least for now. I don't know why I waited so long but I finally picked up this GENE COLAN piece from RomitaMan Mike Burkey (you all know... he's a prince of a guy). Colan draws such an incredible and moody page... his style is SO recognizable. I was out of reading comics when this series came out but then picked it up when I returned. Personally, I think they were interesting stories... had a different take that the previous series. Still a spirit of vengeance but it made a little more sense around who he went after. Anyway... fun run that was kicked off by the great Gene Colan. I can now say (brag?) that I have Spectre work by Neal Adams, Jim Aparo, Gene Colan, Tom Mandrake, Cliff Chiang, plus some pretty great pieces by Leonard Kirk/Andy Clarke and Chris Wozniak. Did I get all the biggies? I think so.

Great page! I especially like how the zipatone adhesive is yellowing...gives a cool duotone look to the page. Outstanding!
