Description

OK, a little explanation here. I commissioned a devilgirl piece from Budd Root a short while after artist Dave Stevens passed away. Budd was a friend/fan of Stevens, so he wanted to do an homage to a Dave Stevens devilgirl painting, "Li'L Hot Stuff". Dave was also apparently a huge fan of the Davy Crockett TV series with Fess Parker, so Budd titled this piece "Davie Crickett still lives". Don't know if "Crickett" was a nickname that Dave took or was given to him, or if Budd misspelled "Crockett", but it's the art that is the important thing. At least he didn't say "Patience is a virue". :-)

Too notch piece and a fine salute to one of the true greats! Nobody does it quite like BUDD! I also have to say this runs rings around anything Golden has done in the past twenty five years!
