Catwoman by Ron Salas

My first exposure to Catwoman was from watching repeats of the 60's Batman show with Julie Newmar. I wasn't really into girls yet at that age, but Ms. Newmar definitely made me curious. Later I read a few of Catwoman's appearances in comics and came to really appreciate her in Batman: The Animated Series. Selina Kyle was bad, but she wasn't evil, and I liked how Batman's feelings towards her were always a mess. I never really got into Catwoman's solo series until Darwyn Cooke and Ed Brubaker started writing her, and showed how fun her heists could be. Anyway, she's one of the more interesting of Batman's antagonists, and I knew that she had to be one of the first Bat-Villains that I had Ron draw for this collection. I don't know whether Selina is leaving a successful theft or arriving at one here, but either way, she looks perfect while doing it. I especially like the light on her, the pose of her descending body, and the folds in her costume. As always, a huge thanks to Ron for another incredible commission!
