A great She Hulk commission and the final piece to my trypich of commissions by Paul.

She Hulk is another of those characters Paul nailed for me during his Avengers runs. Like Tigra, he captured the playfulness of the character perfectly.

Then again if you think about it, you realize he is one of those artists whose rendition of any character he drew sticks in your mind as a classic one.

The sequence idea did not come from me. Paul sent the sketches and I must admit being a bit puzzled seeing the first one. After the second one, I understood the idea and loved it.

As I love storytelling in art above anything else, this was perfect for me. It's often said or written that great artists can convey a story, apply storytelling in a cover and in a commission, in subtle ways or not. And it's true depending on the artist's skills. Well, here, it's hardly debatable and it results in a very nice sequence which you can play with depending on your own interpretation.

Last fun bit, I love how Paul signes his pieces as greeting from him and the character he drew. That shows some investment from him and while you could find a bit corny, it does satisfy the inner child in me :)

So thank you Mr Ryan for a wonderful experience and 3 beautiful special pieces.

Sooo cool to have these from Paul (especially as I'd heard he wasn't doing commissions anymore)! We need more Paul Ryan in comics these days!!!
