Description

I've loved Sergio's artwork since I discovered the marginals in Mad Magazine years and years ago. Once I started collecting comic art in 2005, he was on my target list, but I didn't know how to contact him and I seldom made it to west coast conventions.

This year the problem was solved. I happened to be in the Boston area on vacation when Sergio was to appear at the Boston Comic Con. I bought my ticket and headed straight to Sergio's table. A brief discussion and we had a deal - Sergio at his drawing table with "his" characters and a "marginal" example.

I really enjoyed visiting with him and watching him work. Just a great guy.

There's actually a light cyan background to the piece that my scanner did not pick-up. Sigh...

Loved his work since early 70's in MAD. What is superb (despite cyan bg missing) is Chakaal's jealous green eyes. of Rufferto? Amazing you got to meet this genius!
