Description

THE POWER OF DOOM EXTENDS EVERYWHERE!

EVERYWHERE!

Marvel's most menacing monarch loses his cool and unleashes a murderous tornado to squash an insolent uprising. The epic half splash shows the terror and desperation of Doom's subjects as they pay for their arrogance.

The bottom 3 panels show close ups of Doom in all his raging glory!

The cowering underling dares not defy Doom even though his family is likely among the dying.

Fantastic Four 200 page 8 a personal grail for me

One of the greatest epics in the long heated war between DOOM and the FF

Absolutely extraordinary. A true grail of an epic story. The selected pieces that make up your collection are justified in themselves. Congrats my friend.

I love how you can call this your grail when you own a page from Amazing Spider-man #8. That just tells me how much this issue and this story means to you. Congratulations on scoring this very personal grail. I hope you enjoy it for years to come!

That's a beauty, Michael - understandable why you are so excited about this addition! I love the dynamic panel composition - think about how much effort went into the top half of that page!

"JUMPIN' CATFISH" this page really has so much going for it. A personal favorite of mine. As if the top panel isn't enough, it's the bottom three panels which really blows me away. Maniacal Doom, consumed in his own power and pride, gloating with laughter as his helpless subjects become tossed about in Doom's man-made vortex. And beyond all that we witness a "lackey" torn by the dark revelation that his own family might very well be caught up in Doom's nightmarish invention. And while this poor soul is between fear and dread, Doctor Doom rants on behind him. I was once given the chance to purchase this amazing art. I foolishly passed on buying it. FF #200, along with the classic "Triumph & Torment", stand out as my favorite FF/ Doom. You're a good soul, buddy. Thanks for sharing this masterpiece and original comic art for the CAF community. Hats off to you and God Bless.

A beautiful & historic piece of art, and also a very entertaining description! As much as I love the bottom three panels (watching how Doom goes from being extremely outraged & agitated into being the cold & calculating schemer that he is), it's the top panel that is most mesmerizing to me. And what fun it is to read the accompanying text, which adds to the emotion & power of the art (and poor Gustav !!). Congrats !!

Congrats Michael on this incredible FF page with classic Dr. Doom panels! Definitely Pollard and Sinnott at top of their game on this action-packed, grail-worthy page.

Centennial issues were rarely as good as this one. It's a great Doom page from a well-remembered issue.

How have I missed out on this amazing page?!? That top panel is wild and chilling, and I love the conflict expressed by Doom's lackey in the last panel. And you even have a panel with Doom calling someone a "dolt". I think there should be a drinking game where you drink something every time Doom calls someone a "dolt" in an FF book. Anyway, I'm glad you have such a cool page Michael!

It's so easy to see the influence that Joe Sinnott had on the look of the FF books.  The similarities can be seen over Kirby pencils, Busecema pencils, and here with Keith Pollard/s too.  Sinnott really did alot to shape the "Marvel look".  Great page!
