"This is the Alvin Show, The Alvin Show, You'll positively gonna love the Alvin Show. There's Dave Seville, And what is more Here's the boy we know as Theodore. Now you see, On camera three, The brother known as Simon on the family tree. And here's the star of the show, Alvin, ALVIN!" Maybe not the best lyrics for a show, but I sure looked forward to it every week. My love of Alvin, Simon, and Theodore go WAY back... because I'm old. Folks, I had a 78 speed record featuring ROSS BAGDASARIAN and some squeaky voice singing a song...I think it might have been BEFORE the Chipmunks were a thing. Anyway, this Alvin character (and supporting cast) was one of THE HOTTEST properties around. Alvin ran for president, for crying out loud. Kids loved them. Adults loved them. Even JFK loved them. This art is the 2nd story of the Dell ALVIN book, April/June 1963. Simple. Sweet.
