DescriptionJim Aparo is an acquired taste. Fans and un-fans are equally evocative on their whys and therefores of their likes and dislikes of his art...As for me, I definitely stand as a pro-Aparo! I have special fondness for two of his first series at DC: Aquaman and the Phantom Stranger. Both comics were gifted with fantastic covers (respectively by Nick Cardy and Neal Adams), but these were books that could not disappoint when opened. Strong stories, yes, but VERY strong art, both efficient and innovative. I am then very happy to add this swell Phantom Stranger page to my gallery. Frankly, it was missing a great Aparo page! Mistake fixed!... Social/Sharing |
